6 Fall Vacation Locations for the family

Introduction

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling off, and we all want to take our families on vacation during the fall. But where do you go? Check out these suggestions if you’re looking for a welcoming and kid-friendly place.

Universal Studios – Los Angeles, CA

If you’re looking to spend a day at Universal Studios but don’t want to leave the kids behind, this is the place for you. Plenty of rides and attractions will keep everyone entertained while on the town. While some shows are geared towards older kids, like Waterworld and Jurassic Park: The Ride (basically “Jurassic Park” as an aquatic ride), there is still plenty of fun for younger children. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants if you need a break from all the excitement or want something to eat or drink!

The best part about Universal Studios? They stay open until midnight! So, if you want more time at this park after dark (or even during it), you can rest assured that Universal Studios will be there waiting with open arms.

Disney – Orlando, FL

The parks have so much to offer that you’ll never be bored. You can choose from one of their many resorts or stay at one of the many other hotels nearby, making exploring all Orlando offers easy. The Disney dining options are second-to-none as well!

Salem, MA

Salem is a small town with lots of history. There are many places to stay and eat and many activities for kids. If you have older children who can handle it, Salem is also home to family-friendly attractions such as the House of Seven Gables and Peabody Essex Museum.

Sleepy Hollow, NY

Sleepy Hollow is a village in the town of Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, New York. It is located approximately 25 miles north of New York City. Its name was derived from the story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving.

Sleepy Hollow is home to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where author Washington Irving is buried. It also has an annual Halloween parade (October 2016), which features giant pumpkins carved into elaborate designs and a costume contest for children and adults alike!

Corn Palace – Mitchell, SD

The Corn Palace is one of the unique places to visit in South Dakota. The Corn Palace is an indoor arena with a large outdoor area. It has been around for over 100 years, and it’s still going strong! The Corn Palace hosts various events throughout the year, including rodeos, concerts, graduations, and more! There are also several restaurants within walking distance from the Corn Palace, so you don’t have to worry about finding food while you’re there!
